Eyeballs
Evil eye legend-
Eye beads have been worn in many cultures for more than 5,000 years. They're thought to protect the wearer from the "Evil Eye"--- a look or stare believed to cause injury or misfortune to others. The sickness is "Transmitted" when someone looks enviously at another person, his children, his livestock, etc... In Greece & Turkey, many think blue-eyed people are most likely to cast the evil eye, and the tradition therefore favors blue eye beads.

Inspired by vintage blown glass prosthetic eyes made from the 1800's through the 1960's, eyeballs have become a signature item for me. I make many different colors & sizes. The standard size I make is 1" in diameter, although I can make them in other sizes. I have made eye pendants, marbles, magnets, tie tacks & half round (flatback) eyes which are the same as the pendants only without the loop. All eyes include a copy of the evil eye story (as listed above).
Eyes in the upper left picture are my standard colors. Click on the picture to enlarge it.
